FG and the T in STATES looks normal. The letters in AMERICA might be slightly thicker, so the gap may appear smaller. Looks WAM to me, but let's hear what others have to say.

I would say the initials should be farther away from the memorial but iam new to this let the experts take a peek

I agree its not a Close AM.I was told to look for the A to actually touch the M,that makes a Close AM,if there spaced at all without touching then its the Wide strike,sorry friend good luck on hunting I'm still looking myself

Centered is Wide AM. To the left Close AM.   I know they are not from the same year, but the priciple is the same.

Liked your layout of pics, but think the base of the AM are widen a bit from die wear or circulation. From what I've seen and read this variety needs all markers present to be genuine. Thanks, Doug. Note: the references given above in this post can answer a lot questions concerning WAM and CAM. Make notes.
