This is the first coin I pulled from a new box of nickels. Could this be a 2014 DDR? These are the best pictures I could take. You are looking at the "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" on the Reverse.

Looks MD to me but admittedly, a few of the letters seem to have split-like serifs. But I only see the effect in one portion of the devices suggesting that it is MD.

Think I'll stare at it some more. Looks different and probably Die Deterioration, but that said it is consistent with its pattern on most devices. Thanks, Doug.

My computer was showing the wrong images from a new topic I had made shortly after this one...hopefully the correct ones are showing now. I had to delete the new topic.

If this were a doubled die, then I would expect to see the same doubling to carry over to the tops of these devices?
2014-Nickel-DDR?
Even flat field doubling can appear on bottoms and upper part of the devices:

Machine damage on the devices carry upward:

So I'm feeling this is Die Deterioration as well on the OP's coin. Die wear first shows on the outside edges of the devices that face the rim. I see nothing on the upper parts of the devices.
