This piece resides in my Newfoundland 50 cent ICCS graded set and was purchased as a certified coin. Comparing this coin to other F-15s in the set, the grade seems low - considering the detail in the bun, for example. Have a look at the photos and tell me what you think. Thanks for reading.

I agree, that coin is severely undergraded

I would go VF30

Yeah, I agree, that grade looks quite low for the coin, they may have taken in consideration that the reverse is somewhat worn.

I would say looks VF-30 too.

i may not know Canadian coins all that well or grade that good, but that aint F15. send it for a regrade?

VF20 too much reverse wear for 30
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...

ICCS is always tough on the obv of NFLD coins. The fields don't look messed up so I don't get it.

VF 20 for me just because it is a little bit better than a F-15 but not good enough for a VF-30

If we would have it, VF25 would be perfect for this coin, unless something is not shown because of the picture through 2x plastic.
Call Brian and ask him and perhaps re-submit it.

Definitely undergraded,..and maybe it was a weak strike ..or weak/poor details in the reverse die..

I agree with DBM. The wear on the reverse makes it a VF20 imo
