The city is doing some construction in an area that isn't really considered the heritage district but since this area was frequented by the Spanish in the 1700's and owned by Mexico before the Americans took possession everything is historic in my eyes.
Anyways, I went to a small lot that was bulldozer scraped yesterday and found a 1903
Indian cent, a 1942
Mercury dime and 2 Wheaties I cant read the dates on yet.
I also found late 60's and early 70's coins that tell me this area has been used for many purposes. Not surprising since builders tend to use the same "footprint" here.
I went back today and found an interesting belt buckle and a horse tie out ring that is hand forged and probably pre-dates 1900. Pics of coins are attached.
