Hi khasil - I see a line at the tip of the 6 but I think that's normal. For 1967 I generally am looking for a DDR rather than a DDO. I know that there are DDOs for the date, but not up-to-speed on what to look for.
thanks Rackster, but what has my attention is notching on 1, 9, 6. thanks again for your reply. I also have another interesting 1967 penny which I will upload later.
Hmmm...do you have a 'normal' 1967 you can post comparison photos of? One of our resident experts might be able to comment better than me. I didn't go to Coppercoins, but have you checked the DDOs there to line up markers?
Everything having the mark that I see your pointing at is showing reduction of the size of the devices. That would indicate machine damage. Possibly from the ejection process.
I don't know if this helps, but for 1967-P LMC's I always remember the acronym "ILOU". I look first at the eye(I) for doubling, then the "L" in LIBERTY for a bar underneath, then on the reverse I look for doubling of the "O" in OF, and finally I look at the "U" in UNITED for doubling at the top. These are the known DD's on coppercoins website.
