JobIII Valued Member United States 366 Posts	Posted 09/04/2014 1:20 pm I had a larger magnet that was also fairly strong. I wasn't able to notice any interaction when the bars were still in the hard plastic. My large magnet probably just wasn't strong enough. ~ JobIII Report this Post to the Staff
AgCoinAu Pillar of the Community Canada 3049 Posts	Posted 09/04/2014 2:10 pm Use an earth metal magnet... the best and cheapest ones I have found to be in the hard drives of old computers... used to help the needles read the hard drive.. there are 1 - 2 really strong magnets in there!! They are so strong if you put two of them together you need a tool to pry 'em apart! Report this Post to the Staff

I also have a giant magnet from the voice coil of a dead subwoofer in my garage somewhere. I'll give those a shot on my silver stash. Report this Post to the Staff
