I only have three ankle biters and I can completely identify with that poor woman's plight. You know, it is sad that in America we cannot drop the little "darlings" off at the child care centre at the front of the store and shop. The only way you can do that is to go to an Ikea store, but it is a Swedish store and the Swedes are a bit more understanding of taking care of children and not having rugrats running into you with shopping carts, begging for candy etc.

It's selling for a lot of money, $137.

I think the winning price was greatly enhanced by the seller's witty item description, which reminded me alot of Erma Bombeck's writing. It is a good example of how much value can be added to an item just by the way it is packaged/presented.

Hillarious ... and it was the story that sold for $142 and change not the Pokemon cards. I saw a similar one back in 2001 one from a guy who bought a motorcycle helmet for his "ex-girlfriend" and was now selling it. He took two pages to describe the relationship. He described the blossoming relationship, discovery of quirks, quirks turning into pet peeves, etc. until he got to the breakup in excrutiating detail. I laughed so hard I cried and the $200 helmet sold for over $400.

Too Funny! I remember hearing stories like that from my mom. She raised 7 boys and 2 girls.

It's funny, but as a parent of 2 I found that one way to control your children is with something called 'birth control.'

One of the best auctions I have seen in years was about 3-4 years ago a guy in Washington State was auctioning off his ex-Fiance's wedding dress. He was a big guy, but his fiance must have been even bigger cause he posed in it for photographs for the auction. It went for over $2000 if memory is correct.
