1950-S Washington quarter DDR-001 Stage C w/ Die Crack

It's almost my 1,000 post.

Any Comments, Suggestion, or Opinions always welcome.

Anyway I seen this going through some coins to cherry pick..

I went to variety plus page on ngc and picked 6 coins then went looking for them on ebay at non variety cost in better grades au or bu.

If you are not familiar with this DDR I put a link below as it does not have the typical doubling. One of the reasons I want one!!

Reference I Used

http://www.ngccoin.com/coin-varieti...-fs-801-5369

Back up Reference
there are 4 different conceca DDR listed for 1950-s

http://varietyvista.com/Variety%20M....htm#_1950-S

it appears to match the markers for DDR-001 Stage C
Stage C:
Die crack down eagle's Right (viewer's Left) wing - " LDS
Light die crack in upper hair - " LDS

This is one of a bunch of coins I cherrypicked off ebay that I was not 100% sure on but I picked it up away.

Mind you I dont have coin in hand its in transit, I just edited the front and back view I used to but the coin from.

  • Die crack on the left wing.

  • Doubling on the leaves to left of arrows

  • Doubling on bottom of tail wings

Most likely there is also doubling on right feathers also but can not be seen in photo

It has a nice die crack also

I'd have to see a closer shot of the leaves and tail feathers. I also don't have a image to compare it with also. There is also something going on on the top of the left wing on your image?

I check for one of my local dealers. And yes, I said FOR. I look for varieties in any coins he may take in over a week's time. I pull out and help him price all the CPG varieties. In turn for my services, he let's me keep any non-CPG varieties I find. It has worked out great. Thus far I found him 9 CPG coins to sell, for which he has sold 3 of them, and I have found myself around 50 different RPM, Doubled Dies, Wide AM, and RDVs. It is important to establish a good relationship with your LCS.
