Hey, I just got a blue book and while it was from 2011, it was only $4 on ebay. I am wondering, without getting a new one (I really can't afford 2015 edition, as I don't have money) is there a way to adjust the silver coin values on the book so that they can approximate current sell values? For example, I see at that time, basal quarters are worth $5. Now, they are worth $3.50. Thus, if I were to subtract $1.50 to all the prices in the book, would it work to give estimate current market prices? I think old coins do not change in numismatic value that much, but rather just in silver value. Comments? Thanks.

You can't just subtract a number, you have to go by percentage. 3.5/5 is .7 so if those values are correct, you need to multiply the book values by .7

If you're just looking for a site that will give you the basic melt value of the coin, I use this one: http://coinapps.com/silver/coin/calculator/
