we all should boycott ebay until they clean it up ....... I wont be buying anything from ebay any more just to many crooks in the pond and ebay just don't care and they should be charged for soliciting these crooks as they have been warned and took no action

I had a reply from the real seller and this is what he said.

Dear sweetap,

Hi, yes it is reported but they don't seem to be doing anything. It is the second time this guy has copied this listing, The cancelled it the last time but maybe there is another plan. Thanks

Tom

I have reported it also it is still there. If you look at the crooks listing it still has TK initials on the photos is that bad or what.

I'm afraid ebay only want there FVF these days if you browse there forums you will see its happening in a multitude of categories not just coins and notes everything and they just turn a blind eye more and more. Very sad. It should not be happening. I feel so sorry for those who are taken buy people like this it just is not right.

Looks like they have got the hint and removed it, yeah the other coin in broadmeadows with no feedback rating? Suss as listing? Don't know what that one is about?

I'm currently high bidder on that 1925 penny. Thought it was sus as the seller is using an inactive account of an American and claims to be in Sydney. Want to see him squirm if I win as I'll stiff him

LOL nealeffendi tell him you want pick up as you live in Sydney.

The thing is though nealeffendi its been reported to ebay buy the real owner and myself that I know of and still nothing has been done, That's the scary part.

Personally it needs the police involved otherwise this crook will just move on and do it again and again.

Getting caught out on this will mean nothing to him he will just find another coin and do it again.

He needs to be done for fraud, or at least attempted fraudulent activity.

Regarding ebay fraud:
My experience is that the police are not interested.
And they will fob off such complaints.
Reality is that ebay frauds will never get a knock on the door.
And the only recourse is to go through the small claims courts.
Its very easy for frauds to avoid that too.

RE 1925 Penny: The seller who had stolen the images and listed the coin under item 111455162041, has been NLARU'd by ebay and the listing has disappeared.

The original listing by the owner of the coin is still current, item 330974093265.

Yes Nevol that is only because I rang ebay and made sure they did something about it after reporting it twice along with the real owner who also reported it several times.

Yes Neal and Shane more needs to be done fraudulent activity of this type will only harm the innocent and the industry in the end. ebay had no intention of removing it until today when I made several complaints, I feel very strongly about this sort of behaviour and wont hesitate to try have something done when I know its not right.

Sorry for my rant or if I have offended anyone but man I couldn't just let someone just be taken for a ride my conscience would simply not allow it.

I was taken on a 25 penny you might all remember and I know how I felt even though I got my money back it made me feel very inferior and stupid for something that I know wasn't really my fault. I still have that penny just to remind me not to do it again, Yes it was so fake even the seller never wanted it back.

I hope it was the right decision.

It would probably be through the heartbleed vulnerability on older computers I think it is on older Windows versions which aren't being patched anymore making it easy to get through to their ebay details instead of hacking ebay directly. Not sure on it tho but just a way they could do it?
