I'd go a little lower at 53, while the strike is phenomenal, this actually serves to mask the actual amount of wear the coin has.

i agree with zxcccxz on the reasons, but I have to go with AU50 as Canadian Grading traditionally does not use 53.
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...

I'm going with AU50. There is slight wear to the jewels on the crown.
