Well I came across this one and stared at it. I almost tossed it back but then I said this could not be PMD. I think it is a die clash but I am not sure. What do you think?

It is for sure a keeper as I go through lots of these and have never found one even close. I wonder as to rarity if any, and value if any.

Also, how could this have been made. I have read descriptions on die clashes and I think I should see something on the other side and I do not. The Reverse is spotless. I am guessing this is a MS62/63 coin. Luster and no wear.

I like it.

That's it! I do not have as good a sign on the reverse but now that I look closer, some are there. Thanks so much. I have bookmarked the site and will send them the pictures since it is an 82 P. Any idea on value? Is it a "put in nice holder coin" or a paper flip?

Yeah I am excited as heck. I might have found a coin better than the wife's now. She found a rotated reverse 1973 Kennedy.

This is for bragging rights you know....

To think I almost tossed it back. The way I see it is the wife's 73 RR is worth around $100. I am hoping this one is worth at least $1 more as I am tired of hearing every week that she found the best coin so far. That was almost 18 months ago!

Most wives win regardless, so savor the find! I took a look to for the value. Not much even for older silver halves. Here's a thread though that might have something in it. https://www.cointalk.com/threads/ke...ghts.214693/

OH well it was fun while it lasted and she just came in and asked, then said you still loose.....then laughed and walked out...

She has yet to find a 74D DDO so I still run that one in...

It is possible the reverse is a different one than before the clash happened. It may have been damaged and retired or didn't make it back with the die pair's original mate?

I don't know really, I am just learning about these......When I saw the link and looking at the 83 version there are signs on the reverse but I really can not see them on mine. I look and convince myself I see something but I do not think what I see is related.
