Every time I look at this cent, I want to see something in the mintmark...that probably isn't there (RPM?). Do I see a doubled serif in the northwest corner of the mintmark? I tried different lighting angles and sources to try and highlight the image. It's time for me to share and let you tell me if I'm seeing things...or not! Thanks as always for your opinions!

The location is slightly different:

But I do feel it is a RPM.

Looking at this one again. It maybe 003. The mint mark is wider to the right which could be die wear on that side of the mint mark. Taking in consideration the die wear (Steel on steel) that could be what we are looking at. Also die polishing may have altered the upper serifs.

Great imaging Richard! Now that's what I call coin forensics!! I was unable to clearly ID this one in the RPM Book....your opinions are most helpful, as always.
