1933 Pennies

i heard that 1933 pennies were rare, I have 4 of them and a half penny, all in dirty condition but no dents or scratches, does anyone know what they are worth?

It is not the 1933, I have several of them myself, but rather the 1930. Most of the 1930's that you see will be fake. Lots of them are date altered etc.

There is an interesting variety of the 1933 penny that has an overdate, apparently the last digit of the date was stamped over either a 2 or a 3, I cannot tell what, but there is a clear overdate there.

Only going from memory here, but I think it is the 1933 English Penny that is scarce.

Yup, the British 1933 penny is even scarcer than the Australian 1930 one. Only half a dozen or so are known to exist, none of which are in private collections. They're listed simply as "rare" in Krause. Here's an article about them on the Chard Coins website.
