In discussing the next US Classic Coin "Days of..." Thread, it was mentioned here...

I don't believe that there has been a Classic Commemoratives thread...yet.

"These commemoratives were made between 1892 and 1954; they also range in denomination from Quarter to a massive Fifty Dollar Gold."

So, what do the regulars think? Could be a good show, no? Who wants to run it?

It would be a great show ...alas limited participation from the few regulars who are committed to this somewhat niche collection.

I'm all in for exploring the possibility ... it could be a 54 day journey ... 1 day each for the 50 'traditional' classic silver commemorative ... 1 day for the Norse Medal and 3 days for each denomination of gold commemorative ($1, $2.5 and ... gasp ... $50)

Wondering if Moe the Master would mind such an effort here in our limited audience sub-forum ... or perhaps we make it happen in the US classic coins forum? Probably better here to keep the topics straight.

I'll give some thought to the ordering of the days ... will reach out to Commems to gauge the interest there because without those contributions the idea likely falls well short of the enjoyment that can be achieved.

I'm willing to participate, but I don't have many yet. And they are all circulated. ;)

I'm happy to take the lead.

I'm gathering some feedback on a possible approach and will post something soon. I'm thinking about a Wednesday (9/24) launch date.

Stay tuned!

I just wonder what order we will use. By type or date, 1936 can be full of options.

Red Book order?

Alphabetical order?

It is probably best to let commems do his thing.
