these are the pics. sorry if they aren't as good quality.
I just cant tell if its a large or small date. I've looked at other people posts and it only made it worse, haha. thanks for the help.

You can tell by the shape of the date, each digit is distinctly different in both types. This one is the less valuable "Small date"

its odd because when I over lay the image, I can see how the 5 looks like the small date 5 but the spacing dose not match the small date spacing. there is a bigger gap between the 8 and 7 on the small date and the date on my coin doesn't match up to that spacing. this is so annoying. I just want to be 100% certain about this coin.

I would love to see that scarce "1875 5 cent silver" added to the thread that's ongoing right now in the Canadian Coins, Bank Notes and Paper Money Forum ..

...but only in 3 days as it's at 1872 at this moment... Great coin there..!!
