That S on the '37 does stand out.

Thank you for the responses. I don't have a scope available to me at home, I'd have to take it to work to inspect the mm closer. However, I did take a closer pic of the mm. I have no idea what I'm looking for, so maybe somebody can help me:

your lighting is all wrong Thad. I still see something there but not sure what I am seeing yet. take it to work and get a clear shot of different angles and we may be able to see it better Good Luck with it Thad Gary

It sure kinda resembles an S/S repunch to the North - I can see what might be the top curve and serif, and the bottom serif, where they should be with such a repunch. However, the only RPM's I could find for 1937-S are both West. This is worth closer examination. Get out the heavy artillery, BadThad.

Meanwhile back to the question. For one thing you never said where you purchased these coins so I was wondering if per the internet. If so you may have had to pay postage and handling. If so is this added to the price you stated? $46 for those would mean about $15 each. Are these raw of were they in a slab? BU is Brillant Uncirculated but now there is this MS-xx stuff. Looks like at least MS-60 to 62. If so at a coin show would go for about $10 each or maybe a little more. For an internet purchase not bad price if S&H is included in the $46. Very nice coins though.

Thanks again everyone. Dave, I'll get out the heavy artillery! LOL
Carl - I bought these from a local dealer. He's an honest guy and has treated me right. We have a good relationship. These are raw coins, $46 is my total price out the door. I think you might be a little low on the grade as they are beautiful in hand....which is why I bought them.

You have to remember that over the internet it is difficult to actually see the coins. Those are indeed really nice but the grade is only if you can actually examine them. If as you say much better than MS-62, then too you really did a nice deal. Now to get picky. Did you drive there? So then add wear and tear on the car, gas cost, oil change possible, etc. Of course just kidding.

Hi Thad
are you going to post the coins in the grading forum for opinions ?

LOL Carl! Well, I've been going over there at lunch a couple times a week to see what's new, so I didn't include gas, etc. in my price. This shop is cool because they have non-collectors come in there all the time, never know what kind of goodies they sell the shop and I can often get coins that are "just in".
Metalman - Sure, I can do that, but I don't seem to be getting very many responses lately.

I would have never guessed a Indian cent would be included in a "women of America" series

I found that odd myself, that's why that mini-collection stood out to me. I always thought that was an Indian Chief. LOL

Hi BadThad, My U.S. RedBook (2005) Gives 1936 ms-63 @ 8.00, 1936s @ 8.50, 1937s @ 9.50, They certainly look nice and if you like them that's all that's required.
