Hey, can anyone recommend a reputable Phoenix area coin shop?
I was looking in in the yellow pages, but I'm sure we've got a few Phoenicians on here.
Thanks guys.

Not Phoenix, but, Mesa. Xavier Coins on the Northwest corner of Power Road and Main Street. I've done a great deal of business there and have always found them to be fair and equitable as well as a heck of a lot of fun to deal with.

I started a similar thread when I went out to visit my Dad in Sun City West last June. One shop didn't open until 10am on Saturday morning and another did open at all on the weekend! That really surpised me. Maybe everyone is retired? and they are not really geared to the working stiffs? Anyway there was not a lot to look at in the one shop I did wait for. I am spoiled by all the coin shops and weekend shows in New England.

I see after I posted, this shop has already been mentioned... There are only a couple that I've been to in North Phoenix. The best selection is the "Coin Gallery" At 4216 W. Dunlap Ave. I've bought a few items there in the past. But used to buy most of my coins at a local coin show the second Sunday of each month, but haven't been there a while as money is short right now. There are a lot of coin shops listed in Phoenix, but only been to two of them as they are scattered in the Phoenix area. One is mainly Stamps with a few coins and the other mainly coins with a few stamps. The best selection for coins is the one listed above. If you need directions, email me and I will see if I can help you find the shop.

Thanks ds. I checked out the coin shop this morning. It's actually kind of close to my house, maybe 20 minutes or so. Nice place, I spent a few bucks on supplies and looked around. I was impressed with his inventory, plenty of good stuff! Thanks again!
Tpat, the place you gave me is actually kind of close to my office. I'll check it out next time I get a chance to get away in the afternoon. Thanks.

I'm glad that you discovered Xavier Coins. Tell Danny and Greg that Debbie and PJ King finally moved back to Colorado...he'll know who we are and that we said "hello".
There's another shop just East of there on Main Street on the South side of Main. I can't remember the name of the shop. I've bought a few things there and price compared. Only problem with them is that they have strange hours and are not always open when they say they will be.
Wherever you shop - enjoy!
