I don't generally collect errors, I do pull out odd looking coins to look at further. Any ideas on this one? The 0 has the shape of a 7

PMD, I think - it's unimaginable the modern Mint would do a 7/0 overdate considering the staggering number of die pairs it takes to strike a year's Cents these days - but it's a *remarkable* example in that it so closely resembles an overdate.

John1 has it correct. Note how the area in question is parallel to the rim? Sure sign of wrapper damage or vending machine damage. Either way it is PSD.
