Unfortunately a beat up specimen. There is fluid right over the Tiara crack, it shows up as a dark area in the BW photos

Three questions:
1) Can acetone safely dissolve the hardened fluid?

2) Is the coin's scarred state enough to diminish a VAM quality?

3) What, if any does a VAM designation to the value of the coin?

This particular VAM does not bring much of a premium at this time; even in mint state. Coin looks somewhat beat up.
This "darkened liquid" is it old glue?

Old glue is a good guess. Going to bring it by the LCS for suggestions on removing it. Thanks for the reply!!

With old glue as a good guess, yes, acetone should take care of the problem in minimally-invasive fashion. It's going to be a bit of a long job, though - it could take a few days to safely dissolve the glue. We discuss this subject quite often here at Coin Community, and you'll find a lot of information regarding its' proper use with a Forum Search.

What dave said. Acetone is always a safe course of action to try to remove stuff from a coin. It does not react with metal, and will remove most adhesives and paints and inks. I would have that girl bathing away.
