I have to admit I have a weakness for State/ATB quarters. including these sets. I had two of the albums, picked up the other three today. Does anyone else have these in their collection, I am curious much the Post office sold them ..over the counter .. or maybe mail order. Also .. how much did they sell for. I am guessing they sold each page as they became available. The State Quarters albums I got today, also have the 2009 quarters. Interesting album is the ATB album. It is not current, goes up to 2012. The interesting part in the last page has a set of San Francisco mint business strike quarters. This is the first time I have seen them offered, other than bags or rolls.

I must admit that this is the first that I've heard of the Post Office selling the Statehood Quarters, let alone the ATB one also. Sort of like combining stamp collecting with coin collecting. From the open pages it appears that the there is two coin (P and D) as well as what possibly looks like the state's flag from the Post Offices' old State Flag Issue. The two coins are they circulated or uncirculated issues. Either way is sounds like you don't get either a silver proof or regular proof coin. One the upside you say there is provision for the SF business struck coins. Personally, I've found that when you combine hobbies something get shortchanged. The albums, sheets, stamps, and coins look good, but I'd be missing the proof sets. In my album I have come up with a way of showing the business struck coins.

I have seen these at the coins shows. It is a rather nice presentation. Yes, you have a weakness. No, it is not a problem.

Tried to take some more pics .. the flash was not making pics come out very good. Each sheet has information on front and back. One album has sheets/pages for 25 states. The other album has 31 sheets/pages for 25 states and the territories/DC. The coins are UNC and stamps are not canceled. I need to really look at every page, read them. The stamps I have looked at ... some are from the 40's .. 50's .. 60's I do have at least 12 Dansco albums completed for 1999 quarters, plus some after market sets. Oh .. and quite a few rolls too. These just seem to make a good addition to a interesting series.

I got the whole set of State Quarters, 2 albums one page at a time. Each page costs $16 to $20 depending on what the exchange was at the time, if I was in the US it was $14 a page. They did engrave my name on the front of the 2 albums

I bought a set of the Statehood Quarters from someone at another forum (non-coin forum). They were from PCS Coins and Stamps. I took them to 2014 F.U.N. to sell, but no one seemed interested

These are not sold by the post office. It's a company named Postal Commemorative Society. It's a really nice presentation, but expensive. Each sheet costs $20 and they send you one each month so you don't realize how overpriced it is. My mother in law was up to the 2010 releases before we discovered it and cancelled.

Wow ... $14 ...or $20 per sheet does sound high.
Just curious ....at what price point would CCF members think these would be a very good deal

The numismatic value of each sheet is maybe $1. If each sheet were $5 I might consider them. PCS is notorious for overpricing. They offer State and ATB silver quarter proof sets for $99 per year. Any of these sets can be had for less than $40. You do get a nice storage box "for free".

I a glad I posted this .... So happy to get all this good information.
I should have checked into these better. The name really made me think they were connected to the post office.
I do like the presentation. The space they take up, is a negative.
Also glad I did not over pay for them.

They want you to think they are associated with the post office. Just be glad you didn't spent $1000 on each book. The person who originally bought it did.

Most all of sometime over pay for coins, sometimes we get lucky and get a good deal. All we can hope is they balance out. A local person was selling a collection .. divorce sale .. I could not understand why no one wanted a cool looking set like these ... so I gave face value .. just to have them. Was the same thing on the other set I picked up a year or so ago. I will just put them away ... someday I will find someone that wants them ... and make them a good deal.

WOW, those are beautiful presentations of State and ATB Quarters. Puts my plain Whitman albums to shame. Keep it going! The ATB program concludes in 2021.
