Nice key date ... is that the original color?
Appears AT to me ... not an expert ... but I wonder about the surfaces.

Quote: Appears AT to me ... not an expert ... but I wonder about the surfaces. I checked the CCF Glossary for the definition of AT and found this. Quote: At Currency of Laos. 100 At = 1 Kip. I assume you meant something else.

"AT" means Artificial Toning.
"NT" is Natural Toning

Nice coin. I'd say AT as well though. I've seen my fair share of AT coins, the dramatic color changes + splotchy toning unless otherwise prove able able under a microscope is a sure sign of AT or at least NY that has been sped up in some way (Toning by excessive exposure to sulfur over the span of a few days to a few weeks.)

Wow, that's a stunning coin, AT or no. Hope you're not too sorry to part with it.

I can't say I'd be willing to believe this is natural toning.

The toning sort of reminds me of the kind produced by MS70 when used on a copper coin.

It's blotchy...like a heat torch. $1900 I know I would have sent this to PCGS prior to selling, knowing full well it was NT

Looks artificially toned to me. Are you using the $1900 for more coins?

With key dates, it would be a requirement to have certified by one of the Top III before considering to purchase.
Looks nice, AT or not.
