I like to frequently search rolls and want to buy 2x2 coin holders for certain finds. However at my local coin store they sell them in packs a 100 for $5 but you have to buy the same the same coin size. I dont really want to buy them for all individual coin denominations. My order of coins that I search most would probably be Nickels, Pennies, Quarters, Dimes and Halves are probably about the same. My question is if I were to buy a pack of coin holders should I just go with the quarter one that way I can put most finds in them even if its smaller than a quarter?

You could do that, it is not a bad idea. You could also shop online. I believe coin supply express has 100 for under $2, so you could always do that and get a bunch more. I bit the bullet and got 100 of each since it was about 10 bucks.

If you find them for 2-3 cents each it's a good deal, and bigger is better as far as I see it.

I got 1400 last year, various sizes in stacks of 100. It seems excessive but I'm in no danger of running out any time soon.

I never buy dime sizes either, they are too small to get the dime seated in the center with out a lot of fiddling with it. Dimes go in penny flips, pennies go in nickel flips, nickels in quarters, quarter in quarter, after that the flips are easier to manage in my experience.
