An older purchase. See what you all think. I love this coin.

Looks nice, I am not a fan of splotch toning like that, but to each there own, and it makes it unique. I will say MS64. I don't see a lot of hits, but the hit on the roman numeral on the reverse keeps it from going higher to me. Is the F in OF completely greased filled on the obverse, or is the toning hiding it?

I like how you put that splotch toning. That definitely describes it well. The F is just hiding in the toning. One thing I didn't mention is that the reverse is 180 degrees rotated as well. thanks

AU-58, would not be surprised if it grades out higher.

At least mid to high AU. I cannot tell if there is rub on it or not due to the toning but I can see why you like this one - it is fairly well struck with only three of the stars on the reverse slightly flat. I would not be surprised to see this in the low to mid MS range, I just cannot tell from the photos.

Looks Good AU, likely 55. Could go 53 or 58 depending on how ANACS was feeling that day. I'm all for toning but the uneven patina makes me cringe.

It's tough to see the surfaces under all the colorful toning, but I'm going to guess MS-60 on this.

Sure thought it could have designs to proof status. These little coins are quite hard to grade from photos. The toning color threw me a little bit, after really studying the obverse closer I now don't see what I must have seen earlier as to proof dies, the reverse was not very proof looking. The other thing is this year for proofs can almost be cheaper sometimes in the lower grades. A nice little 3CS however. Most of the wear I now see is all reverse side. The lines around the star on the obverse should have clued me in more to no proof, as they are not as sharp as a proof would be.
