vince1977 Pillar of the Community Netherlands 847 Posts	Posted 10/03/2014 08:40 am Hello All, Ive got this ROMA coin. Which I can't place yet. On the one side you see ROMA on the left and an face which you see on merovingian coins close to it. The other side you see an lookalike greek face and dots. It is probably an Roman imperial coin but I can't find it. Just because of the head next to the Roma you would say it is later roman empire. But on the other side when you see that face you will say it is early roman. Can someone help me with this one? Ive add 4 pictures. 2 from close by and cut. And 2 from more far away. If not, did you try to google for 'roman republican quadrans'? Just in case you still haven't worked it out, the following site has a few examples of Sear#1037. Really surprised that you don't have a closer look at example 5 in 'wildwinds', you should notice quite a few details which match with your coin - but if you want to see a head, stick with it.
