I'd say reproduction.
Listed in Daltion and Hammer as a Conder token Middlesex 1050. Comes with two different edge inscriptions. What does yours say?

I'm with Conder. Reproduction. The devices are not that of a genuine coin. Also, appears too thin and light.

Welcome to the CCF, Countryangel424. The pics are a bit distant for my eye, but I'm inclined to think it's a repro as well. The devices seem to lack the clarity/sharpness of originals I've seen. It's as if the dies were purposely "aged" before the coin was struck. Then too, I've seen similar "feet" on the legend's letters on repros of other early coins/tokens.

A pre-Federal coin so I don't know anything about it. Nice to see something like this even if it's a fake.

We have found it is the right weight and the right size. 190.1 Grains and 30mm. On the edge of the coin it says United States Of America. You can read the United and most of America and part of the word States. As far as the ones listed on ebay it is in berrer shape except a dent on the back where the word cent is. So far as our research goes it does seem to be real. :) Thank you

If it's genuine then, it's worth getting certified; this, since some of us are in doubt. Certification would help sell it, when the time comes.

The fact that it actually has the correct edge inscription is a good sign. Typically the reproductions just have a plain edge. I still don't like the way it looks though. I do a lot with Conder tokens (which this is) and they just don't have that appearance. The token is rated as scarce. If it was any other normal Conder it would be a $30 to $40 piece, but since this one is listed in the RedBook it commands a much higher price.

I've owned 3 of these. This one does not look right but if you think so, send it to ANACS.

It was brought in by a lady in her 80's who said her father had had it for years. I think we will send it out. Having the paperwork with it if it is jenine will help in the sale and if it is not real we wont be selling a fake. :)

It does not look genuine to me. Too mushy looking.

Had a collector willing to pay $250 with the chance of it being fake. So worked out well. :)
