There is only one listing for a 1919 S/S and its !! NOT !! this coin. My coin is something different. Coin wear makes it difficult but I thought I'd post this to get opinions....I know it's a long shot. The bottom of the S looks more like a die chip BUT the top has a division on the serif and maybe a faint westward curve (?). Thx for your thoughts.

Hey AMB, what are you you using for magnification, and pics? They always look good.

See if you can pick up an old iPhone 4s. They produce the best coin pics of any phones I've see yet, by far.

Intriguing coin, I hope some RPM experts chime in...

It's really a slim chance to be identified as an RPM since there are no others listed known for this coin...it's age certainly plays a role in it's demise. But the top serif makes me hopeful. Thx.

If this were a RPM, then it would be raised from the field. This looks like die disturbance on the mint mark area. Possible die polishing in that area lowering the area around the mint mark, and this leaving a slightly raised area in this area. Not a RPM though.
