I thought I would put this here instead of the ebay forum. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...170143702212 It would be fun to sort through these rolls looking for varieties! I would have to quit my job and probably lose my wife but just think of all the fun I would have!

If you have the means, go for it. Lets just say it'll keep you busy for a while.

I wish the seller had better feedback.

I think I'd really like to get into some of these mass coin unloadings...problem is I DO NOT trust ebay in the least. Too many scammers and crummy pictures...you never really know what you are going to end up with...but it's so tempting sometimes when people advertise bags/boxes/mounds/heaps/or other large quantities of coin...all of which is supposedly unsearched...maybe one day I'll find something like this that I'd feel confident in buying...

I agree halfabustisbetter and arthrene. There's too much to risk in buying this. Look at the picture then read what they are selling. Not the same thing. Might be the same coins, but not the same packaging.

This is not going to be a good deal. They'll bid it up too high.

Another part of the problem is that almost half of the hoard is all 1960P cents. Chances of small dates are extremely remote, and the doubled dies are unspectacular at best. While 1960P could hold a surprise here and there, it's not worth buying 500 rolls to find out...not for $1 each, much less the likely $2.50 or more the rolls end up bringing by auction's end. Basically these big sealed roll hoards on ebay are a bad deal almost all the time.

Seems like it would be a lot of fun...until my eyeballs would fall out from looking at so many coins!

When I remember how much time it took to go thru ONE roll of 1960-D, BU cents, without knowing how to make, or use an overlay, instead having to make charts, and using triangulation, comparing with the more than 160 varieties, on site, I decided I did not want to spend THE REST OF MY LIFE on that many more!! I don't mind the challenge, but I don't know if I have that many years left! Of course it would go much faster now. I have the charts, and grid to locate the MM, so it WOULD go faster. I stand on my Statement! Thanks, but no thanks! Dick
