I have two questions regarding the Jefferson Spouse coin.

First, is it still scheduled to go on sale tomorrow (Thursday, August 30) at noon Eastern Standard Time?

Secondly, which of the two methods do you feel would be most likely to get an order placed -- telephone or on-line?

Thanks for any replies.

That's correct Gary, it goes on sale at 12:00pm EST.

I would stick with the Internet, I heard it was easier to place an order through the Internet, when they released the first two spouse coins.

As someone else posted, if you have a computer and a telephone nearby, it doesn't hurt to try the web while you are waiting on hold by phone.

I just got off the Mint web site, got my order in for a proof and UNC, took 40 minutes and a lot of delays on each screen. Got confirmation e-mails for both coins.
Have a lot of patience and don't give up...............

That was painful but it looks like the Internet is much easier than the phone. 17 of the 20 reported sucessful internet purchases. 3 counties still unheard from.

I was never able to get through by phone and it is still ringing busy.

I finally got through on the internet about 40-45 minutes into it waiting about 5 minutes per page load.

Thank God, I was able to procure a set. Even with the 1 limit, looks like this is going to be gone today.

I can't get to checkout. Both of them are in the basket and I'm logged in, but I've gotten a network error about 25 times when I try to go to checkout (I've tried both standard and quick). Any suggestions?!!

It will log you out after 30 minutes of inactivity.

Log back in and see if it is still in your shopping cart. You can only do the quick checkout if that is what you chose during your sign in process. If you are unsure, just try the standard checkout. It should work.

Don't keep clicking buttons over and over. Once you see the bar at the bottom your screen moving, just be patient

I got on about 10:30 EDT and made sure to navigate somewhere else about every 10 minutes. It showed and still shows me as logged-on. I click the checkout just once until I get the error message. Then I back up and try again. I just logged out completely and will try again from squate one.

I started again from scratch and it was as if no one else was online. From start to finish it was about 2 minutes. I think I flushed the gremlins when I logged back on. Two in the can!

Hmmm...anyone notice the Waitlist notice?
It's not in red this time.

I wonder when they posted it?
Some speculate is was around 1:45/2:00pm.

Anyone here notice it before now?

Waiting List Notice: The number of orders we have taken meets the maximum limit for the Thomas Jefferson's Liberty First Spouse One-Half Ounce Gold Proof Coin. You may still place an order for this product, which will go on a waiting list. If a product becomes available due to an order cancellation, we will fulfill orders from the waiting list on a first-in, first-out basis. We cannot provide information about your position on the waiting list.

The real question is WHEN did it sell out?
No one can confirm the initial sighting of the notice.
Wait and see I imagine.
