I took some more pictures of one of my latest 3CN acquisitions. This coin has some nice clashing. Notice the vertical lines in the "I" clashed below her hairline? Her outline is very strong on the reverse. The reverse strike is one of the most "hammered" strikes I've ever seen on a 3CN, including Proofs! Those leaves are virtually high relief. That's a great looking coin. I love the clashing, especially on the reverse.

Beautiful! One of the reasons I love the 3 CN's is that the series if full of die cracks, breaks, Cuds, clashes, and rotated dies. Every coin you look at will be different!

Mine has noticeable clashing on the reverse, but not the obverse. I think this is my oldest Unc USA coin.

Holy cow. Did they strike that from the master die?

I'm particularly interested in Civil War era pieces. That coin would sure look great in my collection!
I have to chill for a while, been dropping too much $$ on coins lately.
But that baby is going on my wish list!
Nice post Prethan.

Is it possible that Prethen's coin is struck through?

No, it's not a strike-through. A strike-through is when a foreign object gets in the way of the strike. Lint-marks are a very common strike-through on Early Proofs.
