What coin designs do you think should have been made? Is it because you are a fan of something, or do you think it deserves to be placed on a commemorative or NCLT coin? Post pics of them here! It doesn't matter if you draw it or photoshopped it, every media is welcome, and your coin doesn't need to be round, it can be square if you like But first two rules: -One coin per person per day please, so to not make one post very long. You can still save your ideas for tomorrow. -Your design shouldn't be explicit or offensive. It has to be family-friendly. Let the creativity flow

I'll start with mine, and since I'm useless at any image editing (but can make someone look like someone else even though I traced the guy):

Sure amida, I'll go look for a pic of George that would fit nicely (since none of the official ones look like they'll look good on a coin). Would it be the prince regent or the lieutenant?

Amida, I drew Lt George but I'll think I'll wait until Armistice Day to post it. He looks military, after all. By the way, I hope Denmark Mint won't look at this thread, because if they made this coin, nothing won't stop me spending for it. But if they do, they should make it a set with Mikkel, Kåre and Søren, He's my favourite singer, and MLTR is my favourite band. Not a very good drawing of his face. I traced it from his album Where I belong (if anyone has this album, or knows where to get it, please tell me since I am looking for it!). I tried editing this using a computer, and based on the results I'm not doing it again.

How about a colourised Blackadder coin? ^ Yep, that's about the best digital image I can do. How many cried watching the end of Blackadder Goes Forth? I gotta take a pic of the poem "In Flanders Fields" sometime.

In Flanders Fields In Flanders fields the poppies blow Between the crosses, row on row, That mark our place; and in the sky The larks, still bravely singing, fly Scarce heard amid the guns below. We are the dead. Short days ago We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow, Loved, and were loved, and now we lie In Flanders fields. Take up our quarrel with the foe: To you from failing hands we throw The torch; be yours to hold it high. If ye break faith with us who die We shall not sleep, though poppies grow In Flanders fields. â€" Lt.-Col. John McCrae (1872 - 1918)

scurry, I used an online tool to crop it into a circle, no freehand. After all, I don't have any image editing software and I won't know how to use it if I do.
DBM, that's not real, right? No matter what it will always cost more than 1 cent to make a penny, especially if you have to ship it from overseas.
Thanks Chute! There's the poem at one of my school's buildings, it is carved in stone along with names of Canadians who died in WW1, if I remember correctly.

It was always surprising (and disappointing) to me that a commemorative silver dollar was not authorized by the US Congress and approved by the President to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the US Mint. The Mint, on its own, however, did strike bronze and silver medals for its bicentennial. the proof silver medal was included in the 1993 "Philadelphia Set" which also featured gold half-ounce, quarter-ounce and tenth-ounce Eagles in proof. I posted more details about it here: https://goccf.com/t/144820#1759172
