I was searching for a $1 Can diving goose on ebay and I'm not sure if its me or some lopsided pics showing divers but I wouldn't want to hitch a ride on some of them.

when buying, have coin in hand , or it should be certified. there are, as far as I know, no other markers

Yes, I was seriously looking for a diver and where I live there are not too many sources to get a "coin in hand" so ebay and auctions are my usual hangout.

Then go with a TRUSTED auction site... or perhaps a trusted dealer who will ship..

There are various degrees of the dive. The valuable ones are about 45 degrees.

People hawk the smaller rotations as Diving Goose all the time.

these actually do attract a small premium I believe. but not much.

Some sellers are getting 100 bucks for a 15% dive and the obverse is not squared up properly. If you square it up the dive is smaller on the reverse of course but some buyers do not pay attention to this.
