i found this 1942 Wheat penny today when I was hunting and I believe it has an error on the M of America! please let me know what you guys think about!! thank you

Looks like PMD to me. Took a hit from something is my guess.

First of all to the forum.

Your Wheat cent is very beat up. I believe that the 'M' was damaged during its life in circulation and not a Mint error.

FYI: a penny is a British coin.

Definitely! I've been doing this for 3 years and my photos are nowhere near that quality. We'll see if the new iPhone 6 I got fixes that!

Thank you, even though you guys liked the picture, I dont think the pic did justice because if you look straight on 40x mag... it doesn't show the black stuff in the middle of the M!
