I saw this 1890-CC Morgan on ebay. Are the marks on the lower obverse from a brush or some sort of cleaning? There are no similar marks on the reverse.
"Whizzing" shouldn't leave marks due to the force with which the cleaning is applied - it literally smooths out the metal. All this one qualifies for is "ridiculously heavy brushing."
Harshly Cleaned/Whizzed. I don't know what the person who did this hoped to achieve but it definitely looks a lot worse now than it did before. Not to mention the huge hit the value took.
