Mine is a 1976-S MS Silver 50C that grades MS68. Valued around $275. Or a 1921-D 50C that grades VG-8. Valued around $350.

I recently bought a 1932-S Washington quarter for around $75. Now book value says it should be worth around $125 or so, but to me it's still just a quarter and not worth more than 25-cents. Is a coin still valuable if the owner/collector doesn't think so? (This is the part of collecting that really bothers me) I think my future "most valuable coin" will be the Nixon Dollar. :)

Mine is an 1857 Flying Eagle cent. I won it on ebay two years ago offered in an auction where is was listed as a brown AU coin. It cost me $122. I sent it in to NGC earlier this year and it came back MS-63, which is worth about $1,000. My best buy by a long shot!

V's trying to rip you off. I'll give you $3. For me, the most valuable coin that I am the sole owner of is an 1882-S Morgan dollar in MS-64. Worth about $90. Technically my most valuable is actually a 1909 $5 Gold, EF/AU, cleaned, and mounted on to a jewelry piece. That's worth $250. But I'm not the sole owner of it, it's an heirloom from my grandfather, and it belongs to some of my family members too, because of the sentimental value.

1878 CC Morgan NGC MS64 45 Degree rotated die. Bought it for $650 but I think it's worth more.
That's a great find, Paul! I wish I could find something like that!

Mine would have to be either an 1885 V nickel in FR-2 to AG-3 worth maybe 200-300 (picked it up for 90 cents last year at a pawn shop), or an 1892-S harshly cleaned in VF-EF details, worth again maybe 200-300 (at least that's what comparable ones, i.e. harshly cleaned, have been selling for on the bay). Not worth enough to win the competition, but enough to compete with a few people on here, and that makes me happy.
