Not too familiar with US coins. From my instinct, i'd say either G06 or VG8.

Any ideas on value for this coin?

G06, the rim on the reverse took a few hits. Nice semi-key though, probably worth somewhere around $60 USD.

Coin World (the monthly edition) ran an article on grading these back in the August issue, and it looks to be right at G06 going by that.
