Well I know what the 58 DDO looks like and I am not saying this is that but the pics I received when I purchased this for 2 bucks looked like the lettering was taller than what it should be. Some thickness here and there so I thought maybe the lighting may have head some doubling. Long shot...oh yeah lol! Yet it was still a nice coin so I thought I'd check it out when it gets here. The price was worth the risk. I don't buy lotto tickets just coins haha

Raymo don't make me blush lol! Yes Coop I would say the odds are not in my favor. If I could find a new double die that would still be cool. I'll keep you posted if I think Santa came early :-) This one has a bit more light involved.

I can see MD on the IB of Liberty, the entire date, and the face and back of the neck of President Lincoln with the different lighting on the second pic.

Thanks for the input Sudz. These next pictures are not my way of saying this is the 58 DDO. Unless there is dirt hiding some unseen doubling, which would be a miracle haha, the most I'm hoping for is a DDO of some kind. I do see MD as well. This sounds silly to say but how often do coins come out of the mint with both MD and DD's together? I suppose it could be possible, but I really never thought of asking this question...Here are some new pics

I am pretty sure that DD's and MD's can and do coexist on a single coin. I think I have seen pics from Coop showing this.

On LIBERTY I see machine damage on the "I". But other than that I'm seeing a normal nice MS grade coin.

I'm having some issues with the pics. Not to say you are wrong Coop and thanks for the compliment on the coin by the way! I think there is either light dirt or something around God that isn't helping me distinguish whatever doubling is there as well as getting a good lighting atmosphere for the coin. I take a picture of one aspect of the coin and it gives a nasty shadow over something else that can give the interpretation of Machine Doubling. Yes I haven't ruled it out lol! I do think there is some interesting separation on a lot of the lettering I just need to play around with some different setups. On a side note, when looking at the pictures of the true 58DDO I thought the doubling looked kind of low and thought under the right circumstances could appear to be Machine Doubling. Of course I wouldn't know b/c there are only 2 and far away from me I imagine. I'll show a pic I took covering the date and Liberty. Hopefully helps but if not I'll find a way for a good one even if I have to borrow the neighbors tacky 9' inflatable snowman for lighting :-)

OK I am not saying this proves anything. I just thought this inverted picture process was kind of useful before I get the lights hitting this coin like Mayweather to cancel out shadows and glare. I know this process picks up MD so I don't mind if you take the info lightly. I am not going to admit to this coin being THE coin but I do believe it is a pretty cool DDO as of now

I'm going to slowly try to piece this coin together through each part of what I think is doubling. The shininess of the coin doesn't help me one bit. Here is the date which I think shows doubling similar to the DDO
