I admire this coin. It will be my new pocket piece when it arrives. Yes it's tarnished, cleaned, toned, worn, and has definitely seen some action. This is not her majesty's rainbow toned deep mirror proof like with coa. This is a man's coin. Edited by scottk 11/04/2014 10:18 am

I was with you until you tried to pass it off as more "manly".

tkbslc... This is the kind of coin that makes you want to buy an old Ford pickup and drive through corn fields. It's the kind of coin that makes you wear a plain white t-shirt with a pack of unfiltered cigarettes rolled into the sleeve, because you don't care who sees. It's also the kind of coin that makes the scantily clad woman behind the counter of the bar bat her eyes as she brings you another beer and watches you wipe the sweat from your stubble covered face. And it's the kind of coin that only a powerful and firm hand can wield correctly in a toss where another man's life may be at stake. Now, if you don't understand that, I'm not sure there's much I can do to help ya...

Yep. I've only kept it in my pocket about 1 month out of the past 2 though... Two different light sources:

Hey! I also use a 1922 Peace dollar as my pocket piece! Along with a 1971 Ike an an 1842 large cent in AG. The 1922 Peace dollar in my mind, is the perfect "pocket piece" because (1) it is huge, and (2) minted in such quantities that it's pretty much worth melt in F or VG, so why the heck not carry it around with you? Plus, it's a beautiful design and at least, unlike the Morgans, she looks like she actually washed her hair!

Don't carry it too long or it will end up like this. I was hoping for a P01, but, no matter how hard I try, I cannot see a date. Maybe Nic-a-date?
