I just got a call from my boss. It seams that I have to go to Tulsa for a couple of weeks and I want to know about brick and mortar shops in the Tulsa area. I have a list I gleamed off the net http://coindealers.org/oklahoma/tulsa any input on these or recommendations on others that are lot listed would be helpful.

Dysinger, Mercuri and Carter Numismatics are known to me. Not in great detail, but under circumstances where I'd have heard any bad said of them. Carter for sure is a higher-end shop.

Thanks! I don't have a real coin shop I can go to and I really want to root around in a few junk bins and browse around a brick and mortar shop for once. Without going into a lot of detail it looks like I will have 2 free weekends so I may just visit all that are on the list. I have researched Carter already and have seen that I will need some cash money if I go in there. Since people looking to sell has died off with silver prices, I have not done much buying locally to speak of over the last year, and I have accumulated a little over $2K in my coin budget. I think this could be a great trip for me.

Oh do tell! Eating is one of the few things that I am good at and the company allows me to put to to $75 a day on my corporate card just for food.

I deal with Dale Schaffer in Tulsa for Caandian coins, but he works with a general brick and mortar dealer in Tulsa. Dale essentially works from home, but he should be able to tell you dealers in the area. Google him; he's a member of CAND
