Suspect-Pleads-Guilty-In-Baltimore-Show-TheftsThe following is a release from the National Crime Information Center

The suspect in several thefts from past Baltimore coin shows pleads guilty to felony theft between $10,000-$100,000. Josh Felsen, Assistant State's Attorney, Baltimore City State's Attorney Unit (Economic Crimes Unit) advised Mark Miller pleaded guilty on October 31, 2014 and was given a five year suspended sentence with 5 years probation. Miller was also required to pay restitution in the amount of $15,974.

During the five year period of probation, Miller agrees to NOT ATTEND any coin or currency show in the United States of America. Failure to abide by this provision will result in violation of probation.

Any dealer who spots Miller at a show should contact Josh Felsen at 443-984-6231.

Special thanks to Det. Wayne Sponsky of the Baltimore Police Department for his relentless efforts in this case.

Glad to see they caught him.

I can't believe they let him go on probation, though. Yes, I know he agreed not to attend any coin shows, but would you really take this guy's word for it? I know I wouldn't.

Brick and mortar coin shops really need to be on the lookout for this guy as well. I wonder how much he actually got away with?

Is that a picture of Felsen (attorney) or of Miller (thief)?

That's a good article, Joe.

Woah..the thief must be some kind of sleight-of-hand expert.
Glad to see high-end thiefs get caught--not just goofballs stealing poker chips.

We believe this clown came to our booth at a show in Raleigh, NC. He laid 5 coins on the table, did a sleight of Hand trick and made them disappear in groups of two until the last one and then re-produced them all. Husband was not impressed, made him step away from the table and walk away. Sure looks like the guy.
