Please help , is this real or fake , what is it , what is its value, should it be soaked in olive oil to preserve it? Thanks.

The green is quite flaky in part, check if some can be brushed off.
Looks quite real to me, any reason you are suspicious?
Where are the Byzantine specialists to give you a clear identification?

I believe this is an AE Follis of Michael VII 1071-1078 AD from the Constantinople mint, SB# 1878. This coin has some bronze disease that needs to be treated before it does serious damage to the coin.
