Hello All,

I bought this some time ago. The seller told me they were found in Dresden were in the end of world war 2 were alot off bombs dropped on the city.

These coins most silver pieces are atached to each other because of the heat.

Unfortunatly it doesn't fit anymore in my collection. But just for showing it looks nice for behind glass. Not in an coin album haha.
Looks like a small treasure :)

And as displayed in the first photo, they almost look like art.

Thank you all for your nice comments :) Indeed an nice piece of history. For silver melting it must be like 960 degrees celcius. So pritty hot.

Does anyone else see the Face Mask on the last picture that looks sad or expressionless? Quite fitting for it's accidental manufacture.

Personally I would value that lump of coins for a couple non-numismatic reasons. It is more historic because of the attachment to Dresden than are all the MS coins in the world. The fact that it documents the intense heat of the Dresden firestorm is proof of the horror of warfare.

The fires of Dresden and the "necessity" or lack of necessity of the raids are still raging to this day.
