Interesting Find From Circulation

Coins were meant to be a means of barter.....I refuse to pay more than face for a coin meant to be a means of commerce! Now the old ones, yes to get a MS Buffalo nickel, I can pay a premium, but really spend more for what may come along one day at cost...can not do it! even the mint....they want to sell you a $25 dollar roll of Presidential dollar coins for more than face. REALLY? That should be against the law.....or let me offer them to pay for groceries and add the premium to the value of the dollar coin....I doubt I could get away with that...The US Mint should not be allowed to sell these coins for more than face. They should be open to ALL to buy, after all, we are all US citizens and they should not support the monopolies they have created...anti-trust laws? Do they apply anymore? And finally, anyone should be able to either directly go to the mint or a bank and order whatever coins they want at face value. This hobby is to expensive as it is, they do not have to create the ability for some to profit and others to pay the price. "We the people...."

I have the privilige of going through my 8 year old nephew's 3 Liter Bacardi Bottle of 1 and 2 € eurocents... So I'm feeling like a 8 year old right now

So I take my previous statement back, although I remain a bit jealous of you guys due to the historical value of your coins.. But in my opinion it's all intersting anyway

From the 3 Liter, almost half are german coins... man these guys have so many coins minted, that all of europe could do with their coins alone But I also found some very nice and rare ones (in circulation that is) Like some Malta coins, Slovakia & Slovenia...
A whole bunch of semi error / die break coins! Haven't look properly enough to find more, that will take some time hahah
And ofcourse a lot of years, since I collect all country's on years with Euro's.... There is so much to go through, I'm talking kilos

My text from above disappeared! But I was wondering if the Euro-zone collectors keep records of the DDR/DDO error and die break coins or even have a market for them as is often the case here in the USA. If it makes one feel young again, then why not? After all, I do it to maybe find a coin of value as I save all my "pocket change" to go though one day as it is probably the only way to keep collecting at a price which is reasonable and not sitting in a store or some great collection. As I emptied the bag last night a Lincoln Penny fell to the floor and I picked it up to discover a die break starting at the are in LIBERTY down like a spear into Lincoln's back and out the bottom of the bust and to the rim. Now I have no idea if it is anything major or not, but I took it as a good omen!! I found the only rimless edged Washington dollar coin (have not seen or heard about any others) brought home to me by my son who got it as a tip at the bar he works. He brings home all coins of a half dollar and up for me to go through and I get them at face, with all foreign coins being free! Keep us posted on any finds and what they might be worth just as a curiosity to those of us who know of the Euros, but not much about the errors and rarities which are part of your world. Thanks!

I have received a few 2010-P Nickels in my change, but today it got more interesting:
I got a BU 2010-P Nickel in change at the grocery store.
Since their drawer was full of shiny Nickels, I asked to buy a roll.
Yes, that's right, I got a BU roll of 2010-P Nickels for $2 in Denver.
(the first time I've ever obtained a BU roll of Philly Mint coins for face value!)

Now how and why did BU 2010-P Nickels get sent all the way out here to the Denver Fed?

That is totally cool hybrid, I sure enjoy finding off the wall stuff myself.
