Interesting Find From Circulation

I got another Olympic 50p coin out of change - brings the count up to 13. only 16 to go!

More or less cashier finds, but several nice finds in circulation nonetheless upon looking around today - 1968-S and 1969-S cents, 1951-D wheat, 1939 plain nickel and1949-D nickel

I was going through my dad's change bucket the other day and I pulled out all of the foreign coins he had (he works over seas and travels every month) to add to my random assortment of world coins.

I was goings through them today and found a Canadian dime with George IV (I think it's the IV) and thought "That's cool it's not Elizabeth." Then I noticed the color seemed different from all the cupro nickel I'm used to seeing and then I saw the reeded edge showed no copper core. I thought "Jackpot! Silver!" So I double checked online and I was correct, the 1950 dime I pilfered from my dad is .800 silver. He let me keep it anyway lol.

Well I'm no expert by any means on US dimes let alone Canadian but I would have to put it somewhere around F-VF. Any tips on what to look at specifically for better accuracy on grade? That's just based on my common idea of wear on higher parts of the design, luster, and rim and field wear. I'll try to get a photo up of it on the proper forum and link to it here.

In today's change: A 1967 Canada Cent.

My only other 1967 Canada Cent is still in its original Mint Set packaging...

1961 Canadian dime today, yesterday a 1941 Jefferson nickel, day before that a 1964 & a 1970 1 cent that both looked like they were minted this year, blazing red! Been a good week for circulation finds...

I am starting to see more bicentennial quarters in my change. I think someone recently cashed in a roll or two.
