Yesterday I was searching through some halves and dimes that were CWR.
Looked through 5 rolls of halves that were previously searched by some customer and found 6 40% halves. I don't think that the previous searcher knew what he was looking at. Also looked through 6 rolls of dimes and found 2 64D, a 60, and 3 old Mercs. Haven't had a day like this in a very long time.
However, on the distaff side I was 4 halves short in those rolls. You win some and you lose some.

A teller offered me this at my local bank. Someone cashed it in earlier that day. It was the second silver half I obtained from the bank this year so far!  |

Thanks jbuck! You might like to know I originally asked the teller if she had an Ike cashed in. There is a coin tray behind the counter. I thought I saw one but it turned out to be a SBA. Then she was like 'I have this that someone cashed in to me earlier today,'and I couldn't say no to that! |

Received by my son in change yesterday at Taco Bell:  I gave him a couple of bucks for it--mainly to encourage him to keep his eyes peeled for additional interesting coins! |

Last Thursday I got a 45P silver nickel in change from a Chinese restaurant I go to for lunch occasionally.
I'm trying to assemble a complete set of Jeffersons from change and over the last few years I've found 8 of 11 of the silver nickels. I'm missing only the 43P, 43D and 45S. The 45P went right into my green Littleton folder. (It seems the appropriate way to assemble a circulated set.)
I can't seem to find any 2009's. I know they didn't mint a lot of them but they shouldn't be that hard to come by.

NJ, most of the 2009's minted were sent to the US Territories (I know Puerto Rico got a bunch of them). The problem isn't low mintage, it's that very few of them stayed on US mainland soil.
