Interesting Find From Circulation

Jard, I think your photos on the left are great for a beginner--they don't show the actual colour but they're clear and show an admirable amount of detail.


Argentum: I have two thumb-cut pages full of silver I've pulled from circulation including dimes, quarters, War Nickels, and Kennedy 40% halves--40 pieces, of which three (a Franklin, plus my two silver dollars) have been purchased or gifted. However, this number is deceptive: I've sent you a quarter, traded six dimes early on in my trading days here, and currently have another silver dime waiting to go out to its new owner, and this doesn't count the days before I collected (or the three silver pieces at work that I've missed). I also found and subsequently misplaced a '64 Kennedy

So, in approximately 18 months-ish . . . about 50 silver pieces.

Just found another 1943 War Nickel in my change, that makes four in the last 6 months

Finished going through the monthly change jar. Found a 1943 War Nickel this morning, this evening I found a 1946 Wheat penny and a 1948 Roosevelt dime. Gotta love the silver even if it's only little bits.

1976 bicentennial quarter that looks like it is Mint State perhaps. I cannot tell if it has been cleaned or not. What was really interesting is that penny on the right, which is a 2006-S cent that a cashier found at work in the till.
