Friday I found a 1942D Jefferson nickel, a 2005P Bison Nickel (my first found in circulation), 1941 Wheat cent and a 1947 Wheat cent all while going through our snack bar fund at work. I also found about $4 in Canadian coins, not a surprize living in Michigan. Jack

Had to comment on the last two posts. I was born in 1942, and am always on the look out for coins with my birth date. So, I thought it interesting that two were found by our members.

Another 1950D Jefferson today. That's the sixth or seventh I've pulled from circ in the last 20 or so years.

A find in pocket change today led to a real bonanza. While walking down Main Street of our little community, I pulled out my change and found a bison nickel. This find turned my attention to coin colecting. Since I was in front of my bank, I decided to go in and see what they might have in the vault. The teller was a former student, and she was happy to go into the vault and see what they had available. She came out with 10 rolls of bison nickels. After I bought those, she promised me that she would call when the Ocean In View nickels came in.
Not a bad day.
Will give most of today's haul to the six grandkids.

nds76, your finds are neat in that they span a small time period. It's as if you went back a generation or two! Cool!!!!!Mike ... now, go find that Walker or early Franklin in a bank roll!

Went to City Market today and received two JFK Halfs in change. 1991D and 1999D. Both BU. Would be nice if this was a trend. JFK's are among my favorite coin.

Truly said, but the one in the photo is not just any cent.
