Got a nice looking 1968 1 Krona coin the other day, not silver. It had some nice cartwheel luster. An upgrade for my type set of the old Swedish 1 Krona coin, ending its legacy in 2017. (1875-2017)

I currently work at a gas station/restuarant, always checking my change in the register. Since I open the night crew usually beats me to the best finds. Like silver and foreign coins. BUT Counting my change this morning I saw it right away, a 1941 Mercury dime. No idea how they missed that one last night but lucky for me they did :)

Think I can still redeem this? XD For those not in the know, CiCi's Pizza did a promotional campaign in 2009 on the value of the penny, dropping pennies with stickers for free food or discounts outside their stores. I'm going to guess this one was redeemed and the cashier scraped the sticker to void it before dropping it in the til. I'd love to get a set of them in good shape, but not sure how many survived.

Quote: Think I can still redeem this? XD Nice one. I have not been to CiCi's in years, the last time being well before this campaign. The one closest to me got really bad and I was also avoiding buffets to improve my health.

I liked CiCi's. The only one near me closed down a few years back.

Strange thing has happen yesterday. I met with my girlfriend after work for a coffee and she gave me a Slovenia 2€ commemorative coin 2007 - Treaty of Rome (by far the rarest in the series) she got as change earlier. There were 400.000 made and in all the time this was the second one I ever saw (or got). It was in good shape too. Then, the waitress, who we both know, came by and we started to talk about coins. She pulled some 2€ coins from her wallet as in "What can you tell me about those?" and the first one was Luxembourg commemorative 2005. With mintage of 2,720,000 it not a very rare coin, but it's the first time I found Lux. comm. in circulation. A good day :)
