Interesting Find From Circulation

One of my customers today paid with a handful of change for his merchandise, and among the change, there was a 1918-D penny that's pretty well worn.

1937 quarter from tim hortons coffee, had to ask her to see the rest of the change in her tray, just in case there was any more.

My most interesting find from circulation was a 1907 Indian Head cent in XF-40 condition. Not a very valuable coin, but to a young (I was about 11 then) collector just getting into the hobby it was a find of a lifetime. This find more than anything hooked me for life. I wish I still had that coin but at the time selling it seemed to make sense. The only time I find anything interesting now is when I buy something at the LCS with cash and get some change back.
I noticed my wife has, or had, a 1972-D Kennedy half dollar the other day. When I asked her about it she just shrugged her shoulders and said she got it in change. It was well worn so I decided to leave it in the wild.

I know no big deal but I got a 1948 Wheat cent back in my change last night from the local auction house. Always nice to add something to the hoard at face even if it is just a Wheatie.

Clocking in at work yesterday I spotted this war nickle in the cash drawer.Then I poked through the quarter slot and found a silver Canadian quarter.That's two silvers at face value in one day.

The IHC is a nice find. When was that?

It was so long ago I was Young Ephriam then. It was the early 70's. I sold it about a dozen years later along with most of my collection then. I was just getting married and in college at the time. There was something about needing food, tuition, etc.
