I'm guessing that since you got uncirculated ones as change, you paid with a 20 and it was 15 dollars and change since that would be an overpriced lunch

Bingo.

I found 3 wheaties at work today: 1918, 1951-D, and 1956-D. Amazingly enough, the 1918 is in the best condition of the 3!

While at the farmer's (/other handcrafts) market, I got 5 1-Krona coins in change since they didn't have any 5-Krona coins. Turns out one was silver, 1966.

While riding my bike, I found a 20 dollar bill on the ground, and interestingly enough, the road it was on was named Green Avenue!

Dumped a bunch of halves I had from roll hunting, and I ended up getting a 1947-D nickel in my change. First old coin I've gotten like that in recent memory =D

I found my first Mercury dime in circulation today! A 1945. I don't do any coin roll hunting, so I assumed the only way I'd get those would be buying them. I also got a 1925 Standing Liberty recently. What's baffling about that one is that it spent a little bit of time in a parking lot, and then was picked up and spent. I would think your average person who picks up coins from a parking lot would want to hang on to something like one of these.

Congratulations!

Thanks, jbuck! Those coins are so gorgeous that I've just been buying them for no real reason lately, so having one fall into my lap (or hand, rather) was exciting.
